Ready to Die
In November our Village Ministries Evangelism team was able to visit four villages: Yaranino, Istok, Abog, and Mitrofanova. These villages turned out to be much smaller than we thought, as Russian villages all over are becoming ghost towns."" We spent much time just talking with the villagers, and we were invited .in for tea and were able to pray with many. On the trip Rashid helped one elderly woman bring her firewood in to her barn. As he put the wood in its place, he saw two blue coffins, made and stacked in the corner. Once he went inside and began to talk with the woman over tea, he asked her why she had those two coffins. She explained that her husband made them two years ago, so that they, would be ready to die. Rashid said, “but there is one more thing you need to do before you die..” and proceeded to share with the woman about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. She prayed with Rashid and asked God to forgive her of her sins and become her Lord and Savior. Awesome!!!
