Rainy October

Each of our trips leaves an impression on us—we all want to bring God’s passion and love to those who have not seen the Light. Even if we were not able to visit many villages this time, just one encounter with a villager is enough to convince us as to the importance of this mission.
On Thursday, the 19th of October after our team had just visited the village of Agachi, we found two more villages. Once we arrived we couldn't find one single person—the villages were completely deserted and in ruins. On the way back our jeep got stuck in a huge pothole. The pothole was covered in water and we didn’t know that it was a deep hole. We were stuck for SEVEN hours! There were eight people in our vehicle. We tried to free ourselves for five or six hours, while at the same time we had sent someone for help. After we’d been stuck for seven hours and it was already dark outside, a man came from the neighboring village with his tractor, around 10 at night. When the man asked, “how did you all get out here?” we began to share that we came to tell people about the One who died on a cross for our sins. In our group we had four Russians, and the rest were from America, Ukraine, and Australia. Each of us came to these northern villages with the purpose of sharing about Jesus, because we have all had a personal encounter with Him. The tractor driver was very surprised and didn’t want to leave. He asked many questions, like where there’s a church he could attend. You can find a lot out about a person after a short conversation with him. On the next day our team visited the village Ust-Uralka, where the people were so open to our message, praise God! It even seemed like the dogs in that village didn’t bark at us! We were able to visit each home, preaching the Gospel and praying for people. Please pray with us for these villagers, that they would come to know God personally!
