If you are flying through Moscow Sheremetevo airport and continuing on to Perm by airplane, Be Sure To Pick Up You Own Luggage At The Baggage Claim in Moscow.

No matter what they tell you at the check in counter in the States, if you are flying Aeroflot, you must always pick up your own bags in Moscow and recheck them again for your next flight. We have had dozens of visitors arrive in Perm without their baggage because they did not know this.

Your next flight out to Perm will most likely be out of a different Terminal, and you will have to take a shuttle van or public bus. Do not be fooled by the taxi drivers! They will tell you that you must take a taxi. Don't listen to them. Aeroflot offers a free shuttle service if you already have a connecting ticket to Perm. Find the Aeroflot Transit counter and show them your ticket, they may not transport you right away, but they will make sure to get you there in plenty of time.
