Vacation Without Limits
God said in His Word: “But you will receive power, when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). Therefore this summer 10 Christians decided to take an unusual vacation. They didn’t go to the beach, but they gave their time to God and allowed Him to work miracles through them. That’s how our vacation without limits began—the main adventure of the summer!
It all started with getting to know one another. One week we prepared for our trip to China. Through seminars, training sessions, and discussions with one another we became one family. The team was ready. A week later we arrived in China, prepared to work.
In the city where we were located God had already called two missionaries to open a Russian and English language school. When they were ready to open, they began to pray for students. Then we arrived. We spent a week inviting the local Chinese to an evening of conversation, fun, and cultural exchange. We talked about the meaning of Christmas, how we celebrate New Years and other holidays, and what a Russian wedding looks like. The goal was reached—a full class of students signed up. Now the teachers are able to get to know the students better and share with them about God. In the city of six million people many of the missionaries didn’t know about the existence of each other. Now, thanks to our team, these missionaries are able to spend time together and work together for God.
After spending a week there, we traveled on to a different city. We went, trusting God and not knowing what to expect in the new place. We spent much time in prayer and God began to do His work. He put a desire in our hearts to visit an orphanage and a home for the elderly. We also saw in the local churches a strong and on-fire faith in God. The Chinese prayed for us, and we for them.
The way was paved for the next team of missionaries to China. The walls of communism and unbelief in God already have cracks in them. The time is coming for the Glory of God.
We’d like to say thank you to those who prayed for our team, and those who supported us.
