Two years ago we met Anatoliy in the village of Pokcha. We began to take him along with us to the village further north, called Nyrob. He became a believer in Christ in January and wanted to go live in the prayer house in Nyrob. His son didn’t want him to become a missionary and found him a job with a friend. We were unable to contact him, but God still continued to run after Anatoliy. Not long ago he returned to Nyrob. The landlord of the home where he had stayed didn’t like how Anatoliy worked, and beat him so hard that his rib was broken and he had problems eating. The first thing he said on arriving in Nyrob was “I’ve come here for forever.” He has learned in church that he is special in the eyes of God. Now he watches over the church and helps with all of ministries and services.
