Does anybody know any good resturants in Perm? Where's the best place to go?

Roctics (KFC) in Perm

There are now two Rostics in Perm which are owned by KFC. They use the same recipe of 11 herbs and spices for their fried chicken. Everything I have tried so far has been really good.

Prices range from 80 rubles to 200 rubles per meal depending on what you order.

One is located on the corner of Kompros and Lenena, and the other is behind the Drama theater near the Pyramids.

Casa Mia

I have to say that of all the places I went while in Perm, Casa Mia was one of the best especially for us poor spoiled Americans who love to have ice in our beverage.
I'm with Nathan on that one.

Peace!

Restaurant Bliss

If you are visiting Perm for the first time, I would recommend the river-front views of the Uzbek restaurant, Khalva, located by the Perm 1 train station. They have a huge dining hall, partitioned beautifully for those desiring the openness of the view, but wanting privacy in conversation. Their portions are huge, each bite rewarding you despite the price!

There is also a wonderful new Indo-Chinese restaurant, aptly named IndoChinese, located on Komsomol'skiy Prospekt (KomPros) between the TsUM and Baskin Robbins. Their portions are similar to the Mandarin and Tsuru, due to the fact that they are all owned by the same group. Their menu is more varied, representing multiple cultures of Asia, but also a range of spicy hotness. The Mandarin is also located close to the river. It's just another opportunity to enjoy a nice stroll after a lovely dinner out!

There are lots of good resturants in Perm

There are lots of good places to eat in Perm, it just depends on what you are looking for.

There is the "Casa Mia", a really good Italian resturant. There are at least four of them around town. One is on Kompros and another is in the Gipermarket Cemya.

The "Mandarin" is a very good Chinese resturant, althought the portions are just a little bit small. It is located at the very top of Kompros near the Tower of Death, about half a block down a side street (accross from Southern Fried Chicken).

Of course, there are all kinds of fast food places all over town, especially in the big malls. The "Southern Fried Chicken" is everywhere and usually has good food, it's the best place to go if you want french fries. However, for a more Russian experience I would reccomend either the "Skovorodka" or "Pelmeshki Bez Speshki". The "Skovorodka" makes crepes filled with all kinds of different stuff from chicken to caviar. The "Pelmeshki Bez Speshki" serves Russian Pelmeni (kind of like a ravioli) filled with your choice of meat, cheese, or potatoes. You can get your pelmeni boiled or fried. Fried is really good.

There are also an asortment of Georgian, Uzbek, and Armenian cafes around town. Be brave and give one a try, you may find something you like!

I'm not very adventurous

I'm not very adventurous about food but of all the places we ate in Perm, Casa Mia was our least favorite. It was very similar to most Italian restaurants in America. We enjoyed the pancake restaurants that were all around town. I'm afraid I've forgotten the Russian name for the dish, but it's basically like a crepe cooked and filled with your choice of fillings. You can point and smile and select all sorts of good combinations, some meaty, some sweet. They also had Diet Coke! Yum!

Skovorodka

I came through on my DTS outreach, and Skovorodka was my favorite resturant! Delicious and pretty cheap!
