Have you ever been to Perm?

I spent 5 months (April-Sept) in Russia and I can honestly say that the 4 days I spent in Perm for the conference were 4 of the best days during my entire stay. I don't know what it was, but there was an amazing spirit in that place, surrounding the staff at the base. You are all in my prayers and thoughts...who knows...maybe someday I'll see you again in Perm!

We spent almost 3 weeks in Perm in September 2005. The best thing about Perm is Roma and Tamara Statkevich :-) We stayed at the Tourist Hotel and really enjoyed walking up and down Kosmolsky Prospect (I might have the wrong name and probably do have the wrong spelling!) and getting hotdogs & ice cream at the little shop next to the grocery. We also enjoyed eating "pancakes" at the pancake restaurant. When I think of Perm, I think the friendships we made, the new foods we enjoyed, and the museum tower which signalled our way home (our Perm home, the Tourist Hotel).
